Ya down with NYC? Yeah, May Mommiiiiiieeees!

For those of you who don't know, I met a bunch of great women on a pregnancy forum a couple years ago when I found out I was pregnant with Dane. We chatted through our pregnancies and talked about our worries, joys and all of the feelings that come with expecting a child. It was great to have such a wonderful support group. We have women from all over the globe! From Australia to New Jersey, California to Canada - we had the map covered!

We all knew that we wanted to get together and meet someday, but we weren't sure when, how or where. Well, a few of us were able to meet this past weekend in NYC for our first meeting of the May Mommies, as we are so aptly named (there were some babies born in April, but we'll let 'em slide!). Here are some photos from our fantastic meeting. I felt so comfortable, like I'd known them forever!

From left: Lauren and baby Claire from North Carolina, Kashni and Baby Aryan from New Jersey (originally from India and moving back shortly - boo), Andrea and baby Hunter from Pennsylvania, Jessica and baby Brooke from Texas, and Kristy and baby Dane from California.

Our day started at Toys R Us! It was crazy in there, but we managed to get the babies in one shot!

Here are the babies with their mommies!

There is Dave (Lauren's husband who was nice enough to come and endure the Eternal Sunshine of the Mommy's Mind), Lauren and Claire, our team mom (Jessica's mommy), and Jessica and Brooke. We are taking a stroll through Central Park on a chilly, but beautiful day!

We let the babies roam around Central Park. They had a blast!

Here, Brooke is flirting with Hunter - he seems as though he's not liking it, but he had his hand on her leg a little later. Hmmm...

Dane and Aryan fought for this toy back and forth. They never got ugly, they just kept snatching it from each other. It was funny!

The rowdy bunch! (Note: Hunter's hand on Brooke's leg. Watch out for that one, Jessica!)

The manly men - playing with dirt. ARRRR!

Ari's got the toy now, but Dane's going in for the kill!

This photo is so funny because Ari is scoping out his next move to grab the toy.

Dinner on our first day at Tredici. Yum!

Dane is ready to eat - of course!

This was the start of our second day. Dane was flirting with Claire (his girlfriend).

We first stopped at the Macy's Flower show. It was incredible!

Dane and Aryan are pooped! Check out the matching strollers AND the matching legs!

We went over to Border's and let the kids roam free in the children's section. The employees weren't too happy with us, but who cares? The babes had a great time out of their strollers:)

Our last night - Dane with the girls:)

Our farewell. After a good Irish dinner at O'Reilly's, we had to say goodbye. It was really hard!

As you can see, it was a full couple days. Even though we only saw each other for a short period of time, these girls felt like lifelong friends. I can't wait for the next trip! Hopefully more moms can come so we can meet them all!

Thanks for reading and keeping up with our craziness. Take care, everyone.

Easter was a gas - no, really.

This Easter turned into a lovely one, but not until Dane finally got some sleep! His tummy started hurting around midnight on Easter eve and he didn't sleep again until we went to church! The gas monster paid him a visit:( Even though we didn't get to do his first hunt at our house, we ended up doing one at my parents'. It was a good time and the big kids got to play while Dane ate. On Palm Sunday we were down in San Diego spending time with Mike's family. We had a great time and Dane got some good pictures with his Easter outfit! Check out these pics!

His aunt Erica bought him these ears. He forgot he was wearing them so he didn't try to rip them off!

This kid's livin' the good life I'll tell ya that right now...

Here he is with his uncle A.J. doin' some machine gun sounds.

And of course, his favorite thing to do - eat.

The happy gang of "adults" about to go hunt for money-filled eggs. GOOD LUCK KIM!

A Boast Post

Why, oh why, must a mother boast?
It's the bragging and gushing me hates the most.
They share pictures and videos from their CD ROM,
I know all this cuz I'm an ANNOYING MOM!

Alright, after that lovely poem, I am not writing anymore. I'll just show you some recent photos of Dane. Enjoy! (Shihong, stop laughing at me!)

Having fun with dad at the Roblee house in San Diego.

Dane is wearing his St. Patty's day green on St. Patrick's Day.

And he's happy about it!

So happy he thought he'd take a picture of himself! Look at those chompers!

After Mike's baseball game in San Diego. Dane LOVED watching his daddy play!

Hawai'i: It's pronounced (hə-vä'ē), you Haole!

We did it! We went forth on another successful trip to the beautiful island of O'ahu. We stayed with our gracious hosts Bob and Sonya Sabatini in Pearl City. They made us an offer we DIDN'T refuse: they would buy us tickets to see The Police in Honolulu if we bought tickets to come to Hawai'i. Unfortunately for them, tickets to Hawai'i were unusually cheap this February, so we made the journey across the Pacific! My long time friend Mitrah came as well to visit her father, Ken in Waimanalo. Here are some pics - enjoy!

Here is Dane right after we arrived in Honolulu. He's got his Hawaiian shirt on and he's ready to go!

Mike is taking a look at the map just to make sure he's on the right track before he takes us on our tour to the North Shore.

Dad! Are we ready to go or what? SHEESH!

On our tour, we went to Queen's Bath in Laie - here is Mitrah standing atop the cliffs!

The day after we arrived, Mike took us (including Mitrah) all around the island on a tour. This was taken at Pipeline on the North Shore.

While we were there, there was a casting call for duos impersonating Higgins and Magnum P.I.. Dane and Mike didn't get the part, but WERE cast as understudies.

Look at that wave peeling in the background at Pipeline. Ah, it's good at the North Shore:) They had some of the biggest waves people have seen there in years.

We ended up in Waikiki and hung out on the beach there. Dane had his first taste of sand as he shoved a whole handful into his mouth. One would be inclined to assume that he wouldn't want to do that again. Not Dane. TWO handfuls of Waikiki sand in his mouth. I'm sure it felt good coming out the other end:)

Dane was a tired boy after that day. We dragged him everywhere - he slept soundly that night!

After all that dragging, we went out that night with Mike's friend Jamie until 10:00pm! Dane was a trooper! He stayed up and partied!

Dane just wanted to show off his Hawaiian outfit:)

This is the beach in a town called Waimanalo where Mitrah's dad lives. It was absolutely perfect as the waters were crystal blue, the winds were calm and comforting, the sand was silky soft and the mountains were lush and inviting. It was a heavenly day as we spent 7 hours on the beach. Time flies!

This was taken at the Buffalo Big Board Classic surf contest at Makaha. Mike had just gotten done surfing, although there wasn't much surf that day:)

Dane was having fun watching the surfers, but he was more interested in when he would eat his next meal!

There's Mike, stand up paddling! (insane workout!)

Again, Dane was pooped. There seems to be a theme here, doesn't there?

This was our last night on O'ahu and we all went out to this nice place called Longhi's. Sunkissed and fancy free:)

Oh, here's a little tidbit from the Police concert. It was epic:)

There are SO many more pictures, especially of Dane, of course. I thought we'd just give you a little peek at our trip so you could get an idea of how AWESOME it was! Love you all and thanks for reading our blog!
