One fine day in June, a couple of us decided it would be a smart idea to go to Chuck E Cheese. Dane loved it last time, right? Well, even though it was horribly crowded, it actually was a blast and he had a great time. We played games all sorts, and Dane absolutely LOVED the little tunnel jungle gym with the slide. He didn't want to get out of it! Even Gamma and Gampa came out for the fun!
We called this the beer bong for kids. I know, it's so wrong, but really, how ridiculous is this? Dane got it as one of his prizes.

In July, Dane and I took the Metro to the Amtrak station in LA to meet Mike down in San Diego. We were heading to the Canatsey Family beach house in Mission Beach. What a great time that was, just hangin' out by the ocean and enjoying the sun. I had just started feeling the ickies with my pregnancy, so I wasn't fully functional, but it was still a wonderful time. Dane got to play with his buddies Ruby and Nova. So fun!

The next weekend, we headed back down to San Diego for another joyous occasion. Mike's father, Dane's Granddad, my father-in-law was turning 70! Mike and Mark planned a wonderful, intimate surprise party for him at Tom Ham's Lighthouse on Shelter Island. It was a gorgeous night and many of Ralph's dear family and friends were there to celebrate. I think you can see in the pictures that Ralph had a great time!

Toward the end of July, a few of my family members and our friend Marianne (lovingly called Mern) drove up to my parents' house in Pagosa Springs, CO. We did so much fishing, ate so much food, and relaxed so much that it almost hurt! Erica was the gourmet chef for the week (as usual) and cooked some amazing feasts. Dane and I missed Mike the whole time, but Dane made sure to call him every day and give him his love. The pictures will do the talking, though, as you see all the fun things we did that week. It was definitely hard coming home, but I think we're planning another trip soon! We just can't stay away:)
Cuddling with his "beeear" on the way up. Yes, yes, he has a car seat, but we were letting him stretch his legs. It's a 12 hour drive. CALM DOWN!
