Summer Fun!

Yup! It's been almost a month and a half since my last blog, so staying true to my usual blogging MO, I will do this post in two parts.

Late June a few of us decided it was time to take a beach day! We went to Huntington and had a great time. It was a little breezy and chilly, but Mike built a nice fire in the pit and we scarfed down some scrumptious hot dogs. We followed it up, of course, with some of the best S'mores I've ever had! It was a great day.

I just thought I'd throw this one in. This was the morning after and Dane thought he'd do a little stacking:)

After the beach trip, Mike and I headed down to San Diego to see the Padres play the Dodgers. It was Manny Ramirez's return after his suspension for being a cheater, so the ball park was PACKED with Dodger fans. BOOOO! There was a lot of yelling, screaming, and fights were breaking out around us. It was a crazy night, but all in all, a memorable one:) Since it was July 3, they had some incredible fireworks. Dane fell asleep in the 9th inning only to sleep right through them! It was insane. Then it was back on the trolley to go home. Dane's favorite part!

It was time to return to the homeland (well, at least MY homeland) for the 4th of July celebration at the Nocita house. It consisted of lots of eating, drinking, visiting, swimming and laughing. Dane had a couple nice spills, too, leaving him with some major bruising. It was such a wonderful time, though, and it was even sweeter because Mike and I got to announce our little surprise due March 9! I loved having everyone around for the announcement - it made it that much more fun! We were missing the Roblees, but we actually told them the day before, so they got to hear first!

The day after the 4th of July celebration, some family and friends came over for a little after party and just relaxed by the pool. Roger and Janis Duguid and the Heubleins made it up from San Diego and just hung out for the afternoon. It was a beautiful day to enjoy family and friends. We are so blessed with both.
