He started out as such a normal child. Life just got too hard. "I never should have gone toward the light that fateful day, but I did...and here I am."

A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Indeed!
Well, it was an interesting Christmas this year. Mike and I did our normal run down to San Diego to hang out with the Roblee family. We opened presents and visited on Christmas Eve. While Mike, Dane and I were on the way back up to L.A. that evening, I called my parents' house. Everyone had come down with the flu (except for my dad and Reggie) and 3 of them had gone to the hospital. We weren't sure that there would be a Christmas the next day for the Nocitas and Lauren, but sure enough, everyone pulled through and made it a great day. They were tired and ill, but they put on a smile! Dane, Mike and I had already had it, so I believe our family was to blame for the widespread mutiny that took place that night. YIKES!
On December 29, we all went up to Colorado to stay at my parents' house up there. Mike and I went snowboarding and it was AMAZING! The snow was incredible and the weather was perfect. We spent New Years up there and decided to leave Sunday instead of Thursday because it was so fun. Mike and A.J. had to leave, but the rest of us stayed. Incidentally, a snow storm hit that night and we were snowed in! Not only were we snowed in, but we didn't have electricity for almost three days! The plow came once so that we could go get groceries, but then another storm hit and we were stuck. It was fun having to make do with cooking on the bbq and the fire, washing Dane's diapers and hanging them to dry, living by candlelight at night and playing games to pass the time. It was great to be forced to relax and just hang out! Here are some photos from the trip:

Something is BEARRRRY suspicious here!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Dedication Medication
Well, it's been a while since our last post. We were pretty dang busy this holiday season as I'm sure you all were, too. We had Dane's Baby Dedication on Sunday, December 23 at Pasadena First Church of the Nazarene. For those of you who don't know, a Baby Dedication is a ceremony in which believing parents, and sometimes entire families, make a commitment before the Lord to submit a child to God's will and to raise that child according to God's Word and God's ways. It was such a beautiful service! Check out these pictures and video. I gotta get me some of that Dedication Medication because Dane napped through the whole service!
