Wait, what?

How in the world could I forget to write about one of the best days of the year? There is an extremely sound, scientific and medically proven reason for this ridiculousness. I'm blonde.

"HEEEEEEEEEEY!"

In the most recent blog, I left out the 2009 Skydiving Extravaganza in August! We were celebrating A.J.'s birthday, as well as Kimmy Nocita's 8th and final jump in receiving her AFF license. (Just so you know, Kimmy passed with flying colors and is now working on her A license. She's already done 23 solo jumps. Go Kim!) A big group of family and friends got together to jump and for many, it was their first time! A few of us didn't jump, either because we were scared (Lynn and Erica), or they were pregnant (me). Even if you weren't jumping, it was a fun day of excitement, fellowship and for some, a little post jump illness (Mern).

Thanks to my dad, Al Nocita the camera nut, for taking all the pictures. At least he "toned it down" this time. Have fun looking at these wonderful photos! I've also uploaded five new videos today for you to check out...

Listening....learning...

I think Mernie and Claudia are ready to skydive!

There's Gamma Debbie getting some practice in.

There's Colleen acting scared. Too bad she's already done it! We're onto her...

A.J.'s ready for his first skydive!

Doesn't she look great for a 60 year old?
:)

The D-Rock getting pumped up.

Kimmy's all suited up for her 8th and final jump for her AFF license!

A mother daughter moment.

Cousins A.J. and Carol giving one last hug before take off.

The first bunch of divers!

"So wait...I jump first THEN pull the chute?"

Doesn't even need a caption. Although, I guess I just wrote one, so...

Look at this crew!

Have fun jumping to your deaths, guys!

A sweet shot of Kimmy jumping out of the plane!

Happy Birthdaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy!

I can't tell who that is, but I know they're happy to be on the ground:)

Thank you for getting mom back safely, Adi!

The D-Rock...making a messy landing. The only way D-Rock knows how.

Mernie's ready to go! She's in the second group.

I think Mike is READY!

"Mom, you guys were THIS BIG coming out of the plane!"

Mikey made it! Thank God, because we just let his life insurance policy lapse. Whew!

Mernie, do you feel sick yet?

The second group has done it!

Here I am with Mernie, trying to ease the pain she was experiencing post dive.

The fully licensed Kimmy Nocita, giving her aunt and grandma a hug.

Dane and Carlo cheering on other skydivers.

Thumbs up for Moggy, Gamma Debbie and Lynn!

Dane made WAY to many jumps that day.
~

I thought I'd add just a few more pictures I've taken since my last posting. These are pretty darn cute!

Dane's cup holder.

"Maaa! I need some JUICE!"

Buddies for life. Well, at least until Dane's about 13 or 14.

First bath in the big tub!

Too cool.

It is written...

I thought about splitting this one into two parts again, but what the heck? Let's just have a party with it!

~Fun with Kimmie and Dillan~

In August, Erica, Dane and Kristy went down to visit Kimmie Olson at this really cool water park! It was in a housing development down in Mission Viejo and boy was it awesome. Dane was a little hesitant at first, but after a while he was climbing all over this thing! I had a couple great pics of Kimmie and her little boy Dillan, but they were blurry. Kimmie, if you're reading this, would you send me some pics of that day?

Check out the bucket at the top of the playground. Every few minutes or so, that thing would dump out a bunch of water. It was so fantastic!

Kristy and Erica enjoying the day in the sun.

The little Dilly taking a nap:)

Dillan let Dane borrow his towel since he wasn't using it. Hee hee.

What a happy boy! Thanks, Kimmie!

~Kassady's Dedication & A.J.'s Birthday~

On August 23rd, Kassady Heublein was dedicated by Pastor Scott Daniels at Pasadena First Church of the Nazarene. It was a great service (of course) and Kassady was as precious as ever in her dedication outfit!

After the service, everyone headed over to the Nocita house to party and swim in the pool. It was so great because all of the kids were there. Since everyone was already there, we celebrated A.J.'s 21st birthday a little early (his birthday was on August 27th). Dad opened A.J.'s 21 year old bottle of wine and everyone had a taste. It was a yummy treat!

Noel, Gunnar, Cooper, Katie and Dillon at the dedication service.

Proud grandma Colleen and mama Lindsay watching Kassady's dedication.

Mikey and Dane - Dane is remembering when HE was dedicated:)

The matriarch, Moggy Davis.

Even Kelly and Denise Brown came to celebrate with us!

Colorn and Kassady by the pool.

All the mommies and kiddies:)

Happy Birthday, A.J. and congrats, Kass! Yummy carrot cake made by Erica Nocita, of course.

Kristy and Dane preparing for the first round of "BUH BYYYYYYYE"s.

A hug between second cousins:)

BUH BYYYYYYYYYYE!

The toast!

The gang.

~Colorado~

Well, I don't think we got enough of Colorado when we went in July, so we came back in September. It was such a wonderful trip. There was a lot of trout fishing (and catching!), good eating (thanks Erica and Mernie!), working at the pharmacy (loved being able to help mom), and relaxing! After choosing a bunch of photos to share, I still had way too many, so what you're seeing is just the tip of the iceberg. I think you'll be able to see that we had a good time. Mikey even drove up on Thursday and spent a couple days with us. It was wonderful.

Driving to Colorado!

Dane and Mernie needed a nap.

Just readin' a book about trains.

Erica and Mernie, working in the kitchen...where they BELONG!

No caption needed.

Dane is lookin' cool on his walk with Aunt Kimmy.

The gang at dinner.

Look at that pudding face!

Dane's a fishin' FOOL!

Gampa and Dane, enjoying some breakfast.

Gamma and Dane walking back to the dock.

At lunch at Buffalo Inn, or as we lovingly call it, Buffalo Springfield.

Kimmy's first fish!

Um, I think Dane might be tired.

Look at those tasty fish!

Erica's showing Kim how to clean a trout. She almost hurled the first time, but by the end of the trip, she was a champ!

We thought this trout had some sort of disease...

...turns out it was just REALLY pregnant. Kate Gosselin's got NOTHIN' on this trout.

Dane's fish! For some reason he gave it a thumbs down. Ha!

Dane's getting ready to say goodbye to the girls as they headed to state line for Primm!

It's never easy saying goodbye:(

Father and son out for some trout fishin'.

Too cute.

Look at that snake!

Mike's first catch of the trip!

On a stormy day in Pagosa Springs we visited this cute little fabric store called Edelweiss. My dream store:)

Dane's weighing himself at mom's pharmacy. It doesn't look good...

Scary teeth! A gift from gamma and gampa at the candy store in Pagosa.

There was a beautiful thunderstorm the last night we were there. Dad happened to get a photo!

The boys after a long day.

Blizzard is ready to get home. Say goodbye to Colorado!
:(

~Watering the Garden~

I just wanted to include a couple photos from a few days ago when Dane was helping me water our new plants on the porch. He loves planting, too!

Our cute little porch:)

"Hi Bizz!"

~This Morning with Dane~

When Dane woke up this morning, his hair was pretty crazy, so of course I had to share the photos. He was also wearing his cute new football pajamas...I can't take it! But that hair...it's just NUTS!

Mommy's touchdown cutie, indeed:)

Look at that quaff!

Chillin' with Bliz.

Thank you so much for reading our blog! I know it was a long one this time, but trust me, it was harder for me than it was for you:) Hopefully you'll have some time to check out our new videos on the right of the blog. There are some good ones in there for you to enjoy. Hugs and kisses!
