And They're Off!

This year started off with a bang and the excitement doesn't stop! Even though we've been a little sidetracked with our house, it's been a very blessed and full month. Dane is growing so fast and he's so big and healthy, Mike is turning the back yard into a beautiful place for Dane to play, and I'm working a few different jobs to bring in some extra cash. God is giving us our daily bread, and for that we are so grateful.

In January I celebrated my 29th birthday. It was so full of fun and laughs! My sisters threw a party for me on my actual birthday. Friends from all over came to celebrate and I felt so loved. A couple of my friends also took me on a wine tasting trip to Cambria. It was such a relaxing time and so beautiful!

I hosted a very small party in January to celebrate the moms in my life who've helped shape me. Moggy and Colleen couldn't be there because, well, they were busy doing something called a half marathon. Sheesh. Anyhoo, I gave facials and set up stations for nails and foot baths. Erica provided the beautiful arrangement of snacks and desserts. It was a very relaxing, peaceful time. I think the pictures prove that!

I also got to reunite with some Mayfield Alumni at the holiday gathering at Mayfield Senior School in Pasadena. It was great to catch up with some of the people who helped shape me as a person. Sister Barbara was there, Angela Howell, and of course, the awesome organizer of it all, Molly Gervais! Thanks to everyone at Mayfield who put on such a nice evening.

As I said before, Mike's been working tirelessly to get the back yard complete so we can put our home on the market. When it's done, I'll take a picture and post it for you all to see. This past weekend, Erica's boyfriend Brian and his brother Adam came and helped Mike all day. They were such a big help! Thanks, guys:) Mike's also been commuting to San Diego a lot more than Dane and I would like. It's been pretty tough to have him gone so much, but he's definitely doing an amazing job at Roel.

In the meantime, I've been working as a Mom, Property Manager, Video Editor, House Cleaner, Accountant, a Dalcorp bartender/bus person...it has actually been pretty great to be able to do all of these different things. It definitely does NOT get boring! Hey, speaking of all this, if you need anything, you just give us a call. I'm sure between Mike and myself, we could do it! For a fee, of course. Ahem.

LOL!

Anyway, I've posted some pictures of what we've been up to this month. As always, there are new dance videos of Dane posted on the left. They're pretty dang funny!

Have a great day everyone!

The birthday table. Erica did the food and Kim did the decorations...great job!

The foot bath station.

Erica and mom enjoying a soak.

Phuong is enjoying her champagne while using the foot massager. Isn't she the picture of relaxation?

Marianne, can I put you on the cover of my spa brochure?

A glass of water before your spa experience? It will help flush out the toxins, of course.

Please, step into my office.

Blizzard was relaxing on top of Rena!

Rena!!!!!! Where are you????!!!!

Marianne decided that Erica's feet needed some serious work. She was right!

Look at those beauties, post sanding!

I think this picture just about says it all...

Mayfield BFFs! This was the spot where we ate lunch most of the time:)

The gang in Cambria.

Dane dancing with Blizzard.

Good man. He uses his Chargers cool cup.

Mike's truck with all the cement for the back yard. Hmmm...let's see...a half ton truck with 3000 lbs of cement in it. Something's not right here:)

Dane thought he'd help dad, B and Adam out on the big job.
