This post is a doooooooozy!

It's been a great week over here in Roblee-land. First, on Friday we drove down to San Diego to stay with Mike's parents Ralph and Adele. We visited and they gave us some great gifts from their trip to Alaska. Dane got three books out of it, too! Adele made us a lovely dinner and we talked until the wee hours of 9 pm. He he. Saturday, we went to the Roel company picnic at Seaworld. They had a wonderful spread of food and drinks and they gave all of the kids cute little Shamu stuffed animals. Dane had a good time coloring at the picnic (and eating, too) and then we headed out to check out the park. You can see in the pictures that we were smiling the whole time. It was fantastic!

On Sunday we had a pool day and the Piepgrass family showed up! We partied with Noel, Megan, Gunnar and Cooper and had a lovely time. Dane was watching Gunnar constantly like he was his Obi Wan Kenobi or something. It was so cute! He learned how to drink out of a water bottle just by observing his master:)

On Wednesday night, everyone went to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate our very good friend Lauren's (Don Corlone - yes, that's how we spell it) 24th birthday. We had an amazing time playing games and competing to see who could get the most tickets! You'll see in the pictures that Dane is not so sure about some of the rides, but it was funny to watch him process all of the craziness.

I know Mike agrees with me when I say that we are so grateful to have friends and family like you in our lives. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of yours, whether through this blog or through events like these. We are so blessed. Thanks to everyone and enjoy! (New videos to the left)
*These pictures are a little out of order, but you get the idea.

Some of the gang at Chuck E Cheese.

Dane and Dad in the helicopter - I think...Dane was into it!

Mern and Don Corlone winning tickets right and left! Nice shoes, Corlone.

We were saying that all Kim needs is an umbrella and a shaved head and the paparazzi would be all OVER this pic! HA!

Corlone got some beautiful new slippers from Frederick's of Hollywood. Niiiice.

A.J. and Kris going at it. I stunk at this!

Grandpa Al and Dane - shootin' some skee ball...ski ball...I dunno.

Competitive much?

Dane's just havin' a brewsky with his pizza. I mean, you gotta, right?

Erica won for the most tickets!

More gifts for the lovely Don Corlone.

The rest of the Chuck E group.

Corlone, Gunnar, Dane and Auntie Erica swimmin'.

Reggie and Cooper.

Gunnar - the swimmin' guy!

Awwwwwww...

"Dane, the force be with you - in your diapers, I think."

There's Dane, drinkin' a bottle of water like a big guy.

Gunnar thought he was the trash guy and was taking out the trash. Thanks, Gunnar!

Cooper was eyeing Dane's sippy cup. Dane was in water bottle land.

Pure indeed.

"Der any more in der, ma?!"

Oh man, Dane's getting a smooch from Cooper. So cute!

Gunnar, the rockin' guy!

Grandma (Dane's) Debbie and Cooper.

On our way to Seaworld.

Dane just loved these coloring buckets they had at the table.

There's Uncle Mark. He also works at Roel and apparently knows everyone! Good to know...

Hey, there's that water bottle action going on!

Ooooooh, Manatees...

Here we are at the Dolphin show. It was hot as snot.

Dane was losing steam at the Shark exhibit.

SCARY!

The beautiful Clydesdale horses were in their stalls.

Dane wasn't sure he liked them. He didn't hate them, but he didn't love them either.

Walk the Lime?

Editor's note: The "inspiration" for this blog's title comes from two things I discuss in today's post: Dane's desire to WALK, and his "affinity"  for LIMES. If you thought I was lame before, well hold on to yer hats and glasses, 'cause this here's the wiiiiiildest ride in the wilderness...

This is just a quick update to show you some funny things Dane's been doing. We went to Rudy's Mexican Restaurant about a week ago. We had a great time watching Dane wrestle with a lime. And when I say wrestle, I mean WRASTLE. He couldn't stop tasting this lime, but every time he'd do it, well you know the drill. Here are just a few pictures from that night. Also, please check out the new videos on the left. Dane is on his way in this whole learning how to walk thing. Marianne Chew, one of my bffs (move over Paris Hilton) gave Dane a little walker/scooter thing for his birthday. He LOVES it. So he walks/scoots around the house all day. The video is pretty cute. Thanks, Mern!

Thanks for reading and keeping up with our family happenings. Hope everyone has a great 4th of July!

Mike and I LOVED this old school high chair. Rudy, can we buy one?

You put the lime in the Daney and you mix it aaalllll up!

Dane is enjoying his after lime/dinner/juice lollypop. He looks content, doesn't he?

He didn't like dad sharing the lolly with him, but as long as he got it most of the time, he was okay. Check out the video to the left of Mike and Dane sharing a lollypop.
