Christmas Tree Jubilee!

On Friday we went and picked out our Christmas tree. A big group of us went to celebrate Dane's first Christmas Tree outing! (Ok, they weren't really celebrating that, but I'm the mom, so everything HAS to revolve around Dane - naturally.) Anyway, Dane was quite tired at this point, but he battled it out. You can see in the pictures that he's not too happy to be there, but hey, he showed up didn't he? By the looks of these pictures, it seems as though someone might have been sneaking him some egg nog. Hmmm...

The happy family, BEFORE Dane's spiral into extreme exhaustion.

It's beginning to look a lot like dream land.

He can't even open his eyes for a dang picture with dad!
Here's where we realized we might have a problem...

So we loaded him up into the car and took him home. He had QUITE the Christmas tree shopping hangover the next day!

Visalia or bust!

Well, this week Dane and I embarked on an adventure to Visalia, CA to visit my cousin Megan and her family. Mike had to take a training course up in Stockton so he dropped us off on the way. We thought we'd come and "help" Megan and Noel out as much as possible since they have a 1 and a half year old boy named Gunnar and a 3 week old girl named Cooper. Dane had a great time with his cousins as you can see in the pictures below! Enjoy!

Okay, Dane didn't have THAT much fun - I think this was the point where Gunnar had used the word "mine!"

Here are Dane and Gunnar just chillin' out on the floor together.

Dane just about gave himself a hernia as he explored all of Gunnar's toys!

And here she is, ladies and gentlemen! COOPER PIEPGRASS!

Dane has been enjoying real food for the first time this week. In this picture it was carrots. YUM!

Happy Thanksblogging!

This year Thanksgiving was at my parents' house. Gobble gobble quickly turned into wobble wobble as we all chowed down amazingly good food, enjoyed great company, and of course, ended up with bulging, round bellies. We had the Roblees (Mike's parents, Ralph and Adele and Mike's brother, Mark) up from San Diego and also my cousin Courtney all the way out from Colorado. Check out some pictures my dad took:

The Thanksgiving feast table! YUM! Wake up Auntie Bob!

Oh, and we've got good news and bad news about our little Danish. The good news is, he's gotten his first tooth! He hasn't been too cranky and he's doing quite well.

...

The bad news is, he wanted to eat Turkey so badly on Thanksgiving that...

...HE TURNED INTO ONE!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

DANE ROBLEE: Picked up for being cute?

Monrovia, CA- Dane Roblee was minding his own slobber at his home the morning of November 9 at 8:13am when the L.A.P.D. busted down the door. Officer Rockford Magnum commented, "You know, once these kids get too cute, they can get cocky and it can get out of hand. I've seen what an infant can do once they know how much power they've got. It gets ugly. We're saving one family at a time here." The parents knew they'd had a close call. Kristy Roblee, the boy's mother said, "I mean one moment I'm holding him, and the next moment Dane had me running around the house doing things for him. He wanted food, I gave it to him. He wanted a toy, I got it for him. He had all the power and it was scary!" Mike Roblee, Dane's father commented, "I should have seen the signs. I mean, after a long day at work, it's hard to know what's going on." Officer Magnum ended his comments by saying, "It's not just the family in danger, the baby is also in danger here. How many times have you heard someone say, 'Oh he's just so cute I could eat him!'? The situation is under control now. We're takin' him downtown." -AP

Editor's Note: You can see in this progression of photos that Dane's cuteness begins to turn into hysterics - this was the point when officers knew they had to make their move.

Halloween!

Well, we had a very successful Halloween this year. Dane rocked his lion costume and had a great 1st Halloween! The night started with handing out candy to trick-or-treaters with dad. Then, we headed on over to grandma and grandpa's for some treats and partying. Check out the pictures!

Welcome to our blog!

Hi everyone! I'm going to start this thing up in the hopes that we can keep it up to date. We know how these things go. They get started and then they fade because let's just face it, life gets in the way. I will try to keep it going so you all can see what's going on with us. Obviously, feel free to delete the emails reminding you of any updates, but I wanted you to have the option to look in case you'd like to. We love you all!
