It has been way too long since my last post. Obviously, having two kids has really affected my ability to post in a timely manner, but hey, I'm sure you all don't mind having me out of your inbox for a while!
I just had to include the first two photos in this post because of how funny they are. When Dane was just about 6 months, one of my first blog entries included this "mugshot" that Mike took of him. Mike doctored it up with his photoshop skills. Then, when we took Dane's passport photo for his passport this month, it reminded us of his baby mugshot and we just died laughing! Check 'em out:)
Mid July I took the boys by myself to the zoo to check things out. Turns out, it got WAY too hot too early and Dane got tired pretty quickly, but at least we got to check out the elephants and the lions.

Ryan's not too happy to go to the zoo. |
That is not a small lion. There's something wrong with being able to put your toddler just 4 feet away from a lion. Yikes! |
Here we are at the Padres game sitting in the Park in the Park section. It's so awesome because for $5, you can lay out a blanket, bring a picnic and enjoy the game with your legs stretched out! |
Mike took this picture. I just LOVE this picture. |
It was getting to be bedtime...but Ryan enjoyed himself:) |
I'm not sure when I decided to do this, but Dane asked if we could build a ramp for his "monthter twuck." So, I built this dinky little one. Well, that didn't last long. Before you knew it, I was adding boards here and crates there - soon we had an awesome race track! This is also where the "thinderblock" was used for the first time and where Dane got his idea to use it later on in his OWN race track. Go ahead, I know someone wants to give me the "Mom of the Year" award...
I took the kids to the beach to get out of the house and we had a wonderful time. Well, the boys did. I was exhausted!
It's tough living so close to the beach. |
Dane, I think that hat's too small for you! I'm just sayin'...
Okay, I had to include some miscellaneous pics from the past month and a half. Here are just a few:)
Here's Dane helping dad fix his "therfboard." |
Here we are sitting at the orange table in the kitchen on a beautiful Tuesday morning. We had just planted our herb garden you see right to the left of the picture. |
And there's Dane pointing with his middle finger again. His signature move. |
Every other day or so, Mike and I get to discover something that I like to call, a "train of a different color." His "trains" tend to have everything but the kitchen sink! If he could lift a kitchen sink, it would be in there! See if you can see what's in this thing... |
Getting ready to go! Looks like a mini Mike. |
Mike got an "SD" tattoo. |
Here's Ryan chillin' in bed with mom and Dane. |
Okay, I just HAD to include these pics I took of Ryan on his belly. He was making the cutest/silliest faces. I will get a video of how he travels around today, too, so you can see it. He doesn't crawl. He doesn't scoot. No...he rolls. It's the best thing ever.

"Heeeeeey maaaaaaaan...." |
Couldn't you just eat that booty up? |
