It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Madness!

This post was such a blast to put together as it really shows how much fun we have in our family. I've got birthdays and Thanksgiving in this one, and Christmas madness coming up in the next couple days. I hope you are all able to just take your time and read through these posts...they were a joy to write.

Carlo's Birthday Party
November 21, 2009

My cousin Carol threw a wonderful birthday party for her son Carlo (and Dane's best bud) last month and we had a great time watching the boys play. There were only a few boys there, but it sounded like a stampede was coming through the house the entire time! It's amazing what a few toddlers do to the noise level! Dane really enjoyed watching Carlo open presents and blowing out birthday candles. They enjoyed each other so much and we were just tickled to be a part of it. Thanks a lot for inviting us, Carol!

The birthday boy, Carlo.

Here, Mike is explaining the sticky blocks to Dane and how they work.

I'm not sure Dane understood, but hey, he had fun, right?

A very pregnant Kristy, a relaxed Dane, and my beautiful cousin Carol.

BOO YAH!

What an adoring mother:)

A kiss for the cutest birthday boy:) Happy 3rd birthday, Carlo!

Thanksgiving Day
November 26, 2009

Thanksgiving was such a beautiful day. The food was incredible, the setting was picture perfect, and the weather was gorgeous, to say the least. Everyone contributed something to make this day great, especially the ring leaders - Debbie, Erica and Colleen. They made some kick butt food!

There's something that really gets me going when Thanksgiving comes along. Not only is it a great time of family and friends gathering to share with each other, but it's a day we can gather to just have fun and be grateful for the blessings in our lives. I know it sounds cliche, but I cannot help but feel overwhelmed by the family and friends I'm surrounded by in my life. The pictures prove how much fun we all had and how blessed we are to have each other. There was only one sad thing that day - my in-laws Adele, Ralph and Mark Roblee only made it about half way up as traffic was so horrific. Unfortunately, they had to turn back and Adele had to cook an emergency Thanksgiving meal. I heard it was fantastic, but we were sad they couldn't join us in our celebration.

Please enjoy the photos from our Thanksgiving this year. Of course, thank you to my dad for taking 8,000 pictures...we WILL thank you someday. LOL!

Dane is seen here holding the Thanksgiving project he made at MOPS this year.

Erica's 25th Birthday
November 29-30, 2009

It was great to be able to have another celebration after Thanksgiving. We hate it when parties are over, so this was a nice extension of the Thanksgiving vibe:) Erica and dad took Dane to the park the day before to enjoy some time with him. The pics are adorable and Dane had a ball playing on the swings.

The next day, we celebrated Erica's birthday with a fantastic lunch after church. So many people came over to celebrate and I really think Erica enjoyed herself immensely. I don't know, after you look at the pictures, you be the judge!

Kids are the best...

Here is the gang getting together to pray before the feast!

Yaaaaaay!

There are Dane and Kassady, looking oh so edible if I do say so myself!

Oh. My. GOODNESS.

Here's dad giving Erica one of her birthday presents...putting up the Christmas lights! Yes, Erica is quite obsessed with Christmas. We're glad, though:)

Some beautiful Christmas earrings for the beautiful Christmas elf:)

Here is Erica sporting the Christmas pajamas we got her for her birthday. Nice fit!
