The Roblee Blog: June 2009

I am constantly amazed and thrilled at how much fun we're having lately. There's so much going on with everyone, which never leaves a dull moment. Although tiring sometimes, I would never trade it for anything. Here we go...

~June 7~

My cousins came by with their kids and we had some very coveted play time with the kids. There are a few great snapshots from that day. Of course there were many to choose from as always, but I didn't want this blog to be any longer than it needed to be! Anyway, the kids had a blast playing with mowers, tramaneens (trampolines) and water guns. Good times!

~Dad Takes Dane to the San Diego Zoo~

While I was "busy" visiting friends, Mike took Dane down to San Diego as we have annual passes to the zoo. They had such a great time and Mike said it was one of the most memorable trips he'd ever taken with Dane so far. That is the best thing to hear as a wife and mom! I just want my boys to have fun. I think the pictures show that!

~Brentwood 10K~

Mike and Dane Roblee, Mernie Chew and Kim Nocita decided to run in the Brentwood 10K on June 6th (I know, the blog is a little out of order). Mike pushed Dane in the stroller and had a grand old time. I know Dane will probably be running in the 1K next year, which is probably the cutest thing I've ever heard of!

~Dodgers/Padres Game~

Well, I was supposed to go to this game with Mike, Dane, Erica and Mernie, but I got pretty sick (again) that night and I had to back out. Mike and Dane had a blast, of course, I was just very bummed to miss such a fun time. What a great father/son experience for them, right?

~WineFest 2009~

A group of us go to the WineFest every year and enjoy tasting the different wines that are out there. Afterwards, we hit up this yummy Italian restaurant right down the road. And hey, there was even a star sighting! All you "24" fans will know...

~Valencia to San Diego~

Our friends Kevin and Juliet Harper had a birthday party for their 2 year old boy Rogan on June 13. It was a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse party and boy did they go all out! Of course, my batteries in my camera were dead, so I could only take video. I have no photos to show, but I will say that Dane had a blast! I think he loved playing ball with the guys the best!

After their party up in Valencia, we trucked it down to San Diego for the next 2 year old party at Kevin and Claire Canatsey's house. Little Nova turned 2 and had a crazy party to show for it! There were so many people there, it was a zoo! Hands down, Dane's favorite thing about that party was the bouncy out front. There was a lot going on in that bouncy and he sure did tire himself out somethin' fierce. Yay for really sleepy children! Thanks a lot to both families for showing us such a good time!

~Father's Day~

We had a low key Father's Day here in Monrovia. It was so nice and relaxing. Mike had some pancakes in the morning and opened his card and gift from Dane. Would you believe that Dane got him tickets to the July 3rd Padres game in San Diego? There will be fireworks that night, too! It's like Dane planned it that way...ahem...

We went to the dog park/children's park in Pasadena in the afternoon and had a great time tiring the boys out. After a wonderful afternoon, we ate the BEST feast ever at the Mediterranean Garden Grill in Monrovia. The owners are such nice people and their food is to die for. Dane was a little crabby as he was pretty tired, but overall we had a beautiful time.
